The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has proposed 16 October 2025 as the official date for publishing the results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations. The decision was taken at a meeting held in Dhaka on Thursday.

A board chair present at the meeting confirmed that all members unanimously agreed on the date. “Everyone in the meeting proposed the same date for the results to be released, which is 16 October,” the official told .

The proposal has been forwarded to the Ministry of Education, which will give the final approval before the results are formally announced. Traditionally, HSC results are published within 60 days of the conclusion of the written exams, and this year’s timeline aligns with that practice.

The 2025 HSC examinations began on 26 June and concluded on 19 August with the written tests, followed by practical exams. A total of 1,251,111 students sat for the exams across the country. This included candidates from nine general education boards, the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board, and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board.

Once approved, the results will be made available simultaneously across all boards. Students will be able to access their results online through the official Education Board Results portal, via SMS, and from their respective institutions.

The announcement of the results will also pave the way for the next stage of the academic calendar, as universities and higher education institutions prepare to begin their admission processes in late October and November.
