Government Officials Inspect Modernized Third Terminal at Shahjalal International Airport

Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retired), the Advisor to the Ministry of Home Affairs, stated that the primary purpose of visiting Shahjalal International Airport’s third terminal was to assess the staffing requirements. He praised the terminal’s modern and up-to-date design, noting that the progress of work has reached 99.18 percent.

After inspecting the third terminal on Saturday, July 19, he told reporters that the facility’s operational capacity is significantly high and visually impressive. He expressed optimism that the issues faced by travelers when entering or leaving the country will be resolved once the terminal becomes fully operational.

The advisor also toured Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, checking the overall facilities. During his visit, he inquired about passenger experiences, listened to their concerns, and directed relevant officials to address any issues.

Senior officials from the Civil Aviation Authority, including Air Vice Marshal Md. Mustofa Mahmud Siddique, the Chairman, and Group Captain S. M. Raqib Sadiq, the Executive Director of Shahjalal International Airport, accompanied him during the inspection.
