Fran Drescher is happily throwing her hat into the ring to officiate Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner’s much‑talked‑about rumoured wedding though she’s fairly certain the couple won’t actually ask her.
The beloved Nanny star attended the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1 in a striking black sequined gown topped with a chic hat. On the red carpet, the 69‑year‑old actress was asked whether she’d be willing to preside over the ceremony if her Marty Supreme co‑star Timothée Chalamet and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner decided to tie the knot.
Drescher didn’t hesitate. “If they asked me to,” she said, adding with a laugh, “I do officiate gay weddings, so I can certainly branch out and officiate this if they want me to.”
But despite her enthusiasm, she admitted she doesn’t expect the invitation. “I have a feeling they’re not going to ask,” she said with her trademark humour.
The conversation soon shifted from jokes to affection as Drescher spoke warmly about her on‑screen son. She described Chalamet as “sweet, vulnerable and very charming,” recalling a moment during a press event atop the Empire State Building when his fear of heights kicked in.
“I kind of felt a need to mother him at that moment. I was very worried about him,” she said, before gently reminding him, “Look, we’re not curing cancer.”
Her comments offered a glimpse into the genuine bond the pair share off‑screen one built on care, admiration and a touch of maternal instinct.
