A devastating crash in Pitfield, southwest of Ballarat, has resulted in the death of one individual and left three children and two adults hospitalized. The collision occurred on Rokewood-Skipton Road shortly before 3 PM, involving two vehicles.
The identity of the deceased has yet to be confirmed, while the injured parties were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The exact details surrounding the crash remain unclear, prompting road closures in the area as authorities investigate.
This incident follows another fatal accident on December 3, where a vehicle veered off the road and rolled near the intersection of Rokewood-Skipton and Cressy-Pitfield roads.
Tragically, this marks the second fatal crash in Victoria within a 24-hour period. Earlier on Tuesday, a car struck a tree in Mount Evelyn, resulting in the death of the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
