Angelina Jolie plans to leave the United States and relocate overseas once her youngest children reach 18, a move she is reportedly weighing as she puts her Los Angeles home on the market. The actress purchased the Cecil B. DeMille estate in Los Feliz in 2017 for about 24.5 million dollars. The 11,000 square foot property includes six bedrooms and ten bathrooms.

Plan to Leave LA Jolie has long said she does not want to live in Los Angeles full time, though custody arrangements with her former husband kept her there. She told a major interview that she stayed in LA primarily because of divorce related obligations.

Reason for Staying No Longer Compelling Jolie has indicated she is ready to live abroad full time, seeking environments and communities that Los Angeles cannot offer her or her children. She has described a sense of humanity she found elsewhere in the world that she says she did not grow up with.

Family Matters Jolie and her ex share six children. She intends to relocate after the youngest twins, Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 next year.

Celebrity Mobility Trend Her potential move abroad comes as a number of U.S. celebrities explore life overseas. Among recent examples, some have pursued citizenship or residency in other countries and relocated for personal or professional reasons.

Work Ahead On the film side Jolie is set to reunite with a prominent director on a forthcoming spy thriller titled The Initiative.
