Empowering Elegance: A Night of Culture and Charity at the Elan Gala

The ‘Elan Gala and Charity Evening’ took place at the Rydges Hotel in Campbelltown, Sydney, on November 23. Organized by the Australian Bangladeshi Women’s Chamber of Commerce (ABWCC), the event garnered considerable acclaim.

This evening event, sponsored by Nidhi, Motif, and Heritage, was bustling with local political leaders, business professionals, lawyers, engineers, doctors, and other distinguished members of the community. Notably, it successfully highlighted the efforts to raise funds for the Fulki NGO, which is dedicated to empowering underprivileged women and children through education and support.

The program commenced with the national anthems of Australia and Bangladesh. Following this, President Nazia Mahmud expressed profound gratitude towards her father in her welcoming address, captivating the audience while adorned in a sari, a symbol of Bengali heritage.

Additionally, former Councilor Shahe Zaman Titu and Tisha Tania, President of Fagun Hawa, elaborated on the founding principles of the ABWCC and its positive impact on female entrepreneurship. Esteemed speakers, including Mark Coure MP, Sally Quinnell, Consul General Mohammad Jahangir Alam Khan Rana, and Abdul Khan Ratan, shared their insights and experiences.

The evening featured vibrant dance and musical performances, alongside mesmerizing fashion shows presented by “Nidhi, Motif and Heritage,” “Fashion Pret,” and “Paar Aanchol Sareej.”

In conclusion, the ABWCC reaffirmed its mission to empower women, celebrate heritage in the diaspora, and inspire future generations. The gala concluded with heartfelt gratitude expressed to all participants, marking a successful and meaningful event.
