In a remarkable display of teamwork and commitment, all sacrificial waste in Dhaka was cleared in less than 12 hours, according to Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, the Adviser to the Local Government and Co-operatives Minister. His message highlights that maintaining a clean city is not merely a goal but a daily duty for every resident and official alike.
Sharing this achievement via a Facebook post on Saturday night, Asif Mahmud praised the coordinated efforts of Dhaka North and South City Corporations that made this swift cleanup possible. He emphasized that such efficiency showcases the competence and responsibility of the local government, dedicated to safeguarding public health and welfare.
He also credited the city residents’ sense of responsibility and the tireless work of cleaning staff, whose efforts ensured Dhaka remained tidy during the busy Eid-ul-Azha period. “Thanks to the dedication of those working behind the scenes, Dhaka was transformed in record time,” he noted.
Asif Mahmud expressed deep admiration for the unsung heroes those whose hard work often goes unnoticed but whose contributions define the city’s cleanliness. “A clean Dhaka in less than 12 hours is the story of action and dedication. These heroes may not seek the spotlight, but their work is the backbone of a healthy city,” he said, paying tribute to their vital role during Eid.
Earlier, he had also highlighted the successful completion of Eid-ul-Azha cleanliness drives across all city corporations nationwide, reaffirming the collective effort to uphold hygiene and sanitation during this significant festival.
