Australian cricket star David Warner has made headlines not just for his prowess on the field but now for his upcoming debut in southern cinema. Despite retiring from international cricket, he continues to play in various T20 leagues and is now set to make a splash in the film industry.
At an event in Hyderabad, producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movies confirmed that Warner will play a small role in the film “Robinhood,” directed by Venky Kudumula. The movie stars Nithiin and Sree Leela, and Warner’s long-standing interest in southern cinema has finally led him to join the industry.
Warner is a huge fan of Allu Arjun and often posted reels featuring songs and dialogues from Arjun’s films during the COVID lockdown. Fans are now eager to see him in this new avatar.
According to reports, Warner is reportedly earning ₹1 crore per day for his role in the film. News of his entry into Telugu cinema surfaced last September, and he was spotted during shooting in Melbourne.
If everything goes as planned, “Robinhood” is set to be released on March 28. Following Warner’s explosive batting on the cricket field, excitement is building among fans for his appearance on the big screen.
