The vision of a “New Bangladesh” spearheaded by Yunus is igniting hope in the hearts of many as the nation grapples with a serious unemployment crisis, particularly among its youth. Various initiatives are being implemented to generate employment across multiple sectors, with Mr. Yunus leading efforts to connect young people with job opportunities.
The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) is currently working tirelessly to combat unemployment. Through its initiatives, new job opportunities are being created, which will help strengthen the country’s economy. BIDA’s Executive Chairman, Ashik Chowdhury, recently announced that 15,000 jobs are expected to be generated over the next two years. He made this statement during a press briefing held on April 9 at the InterContinental Hotel in the capital.
Chowdhury further mentioned that plans are underway to establish free trade zones in the country. These zones are anticipated to contribute to economic development and attract foreign investment. “The government will take necessary steps in this regard,” he stated, emphasizing that this will promote local industries and commerce while creating new jobs.
In addition to tackling unemployment, the government is also focused on enhancing the skills of youth through various training programs. These initiatives will assist young people in acquiring modern technologies and skills, thereby increasing their chances of employment.
These efforts are opening new avenues for the youth of Bangladesh. The government’s commitment to creating job opportunities for the younger generation is crucial for realizing the dream of a New Bangladesh. Collective support is needed to liberate our country from the curse of unemployment. Everyone must work together to ensure job security for the youth, as a robust employment system will brighten the country’s future.
