Brumbies Bench Impact Key as Team Prepares for Massive Trip to Face Crusaders

1 min read

The Brumbies’ strong impact off the bench proved decisive in last weekend’s win in Perth, and head coach Stephen Larkham says the squad will again rely on its depth as they embark on a demanding journey first across Australia, then across the Tasman for round two.

“The season is underway and we are confident, but we remain focused on improving and taking our performance to the next level,” Larkham said. “The season can be a grind and we need to make sure our whole squad is fit and firing when it counts.”

Crusaders look to rebound at home
The Crusaders enter the clash after a shock round‑one loss to the Highlanders, who finished last in 2025. But they will be boosted by playing at home for the first time in the 2026 season.

This match will also be one of the final games the Crusaders play at Christchurch Stadium, with the team set to move to their new home, Te Kaha, later this year.
