Brooklyn Beckham has released a dramatic and deeply personal statement addressing long‑standing rumours of a rift with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. In a strongly worded message shared on social media, the 26‑year‑old made it clear that reconciliation is not something he is seeking, accusing his parents of spreading misinformation about him and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz.
Brooklyn said he felt he had “no choice” but to speak publicly, claiming he was finally standing up for himself after years of remaining silent.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he wrote, adding that he was “not being controlled” and was instead “standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
He alleged that his parents had long shaped media narratives about their family and that he had recently witnessed “the lengths they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media… to preserve their own façade.”
Claims of Interference in His Marriage
Brooklyn went further, accusing his parents of attempting to undermine his relationship with Nicola Peltz:
“My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.”
He also addressed the widely discussed wedding‑day tensions, claiming that his mother withdrew from designing Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute:
“My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour… forcing her to urgently find a new dress.”
The statement marks Brooklyn’s most direct and public acknowledgment of the family tensions that have circulated for years, signalling a deepening divide within one of the world’s most high‑profile families.
