The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has launched its first election rally ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election, drawing a packed crowd at the Sylhet Madrasah ground. According to party officials, they expect three lakh or more supporters to gather for the event.

The rally has generated extraordinary enthusiasm among BNP leaders and activists, largely because it marks the first visit of party chairperson Tarique Rahman to Sylhet in nearly two decades. His return has created a wave of excitement across the party’s grassroots network.

BNP leaders say the overwhelming turnout reflects growing momentum ahead of the national polls, with supporters travelling from various districts to attend the rally. The party has described the gathering as a major show of strength at the start of its election campaign.
