Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam is staying in a humble two-room house in Mirpur while in the country to fulfill his duties as head of the board. Contrary to expectations that former national captain Bulbul, now settled in Australia, would stay in a five-star hotel or a board-arranged studio apartment, he has opted for a simple residence near a relative’s home.
A BCB source revealed that the rent for the house is only Tk12,000. The house is situated on a narrow lane, and Bulbul reportedly wears a mask when leaving or returning to avoid recognition. He also refrains from using the BCB’s official car.
The source noted that Bulbul was upset after negative news about his whereabouts surfaced previously. He prefers a modest lifestyle and has made it clear he does not want luxurious arrangements from the board. Since taking over on May 30, Bulbul has been managing the board’s affairs, replacing Faruque Ahmed.
