Bangladeshi died while showing bravery in Australia

At the end of last year, several Bangladeshis were reported killed in road accidents in Australia. However, a different incident has been seen this year, a Bangladeshi died by drowning while showing bravery.

A Bangladeshi youth died after drowning in Sydney. Her name is Sahidul. He was only twenty-six years old at the time of his death. It is learned that he saw a boat sinking in the Cantlin Basin area of Georges River last Sunday and became desperate for rescue, without finding a way to jump straight into the water. Even if he wanted to show bravery, he didn’t know how to swim, maybe he himself had forgotten it. Sahidul could not save herself from the water due to not knowing how to swim.

A helicopter search was launched to save him. Divers found his body about four hours later. This event occurred in the Kentlin Basin of the Keith Longhurst Reserve. Local police inspector Paul Kramer confirmed this.

The basin is known to be a popular swimming spot, but it is also considered dangerous. Due to its location in a remote area, the mobile phone network does not work well in that area.

On the surface, the administration said, there is a warning, this message for those who are not skilled swimmers. But Shahidul did not consider this message, now that is the question. However, it is very dangerous to descend here without knowing swimming. The authority said, more awareness will be applied in the future.

Shahidul lived in the Parramatta area of Sydney, Australia. His death has cast a pall over Sydney’s Bangladeshi community. Relatives and community people completed his funeral yesterday at 6 pm in Bangladeshi-dominated Lakemba.
