Bangladesh recorded five additional COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours leading up to Monday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). This brings the country’s total number of confirmed cases to 2,021,747 since the pandemic began.
Fortunately, there were no new fatalities reported during this period, keeping the death toll steady at 29,500. The daily test positivity rate stood at 12.20 percent, based on 41 samples tested.
The recovery rate remains high at 98.42 percent, while the death rate is steady at 1.44 percent, reflecting ongoing efforts to control the virus and protect public health.
