Bangladesh Meteorological Department Forecasts Rain and Thundershowers Across the Country

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast predicting rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning flashes and temporary gusty winds over the next 24 hours from 9:00 am Tuesday.

A bulletin released this morning states, “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and gusty winds are likely to occur at most places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, with many places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions experiencing moderate to heavy falls. Heavier rainfall is expected in Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh.”

The forecast also indicates a slight decrease in day and night temperatures across the country.

On Monday, the highest temperature recorded was 35.1°C in Mongla, Khulna Division. The minimum temperature today was 23.5°C in Bandarban.

In the capital Dhaka, sunset is expected at 6:50 pm today, with sunrise at 5:13 am tomorrow.
