Aussie Bangla Sisterhood Fest held in Sydney

Aussie Bangla Sisterhood Fest was held in Sydney for the fourth time. This year the festival was a bit different, many expressed concerns due to the current flood situation in Bangladesh, and with this idea, a part of the budget for this year’s event was given to the flood relief fund.

Aussie Bangla Sisterhood organized the Sisterhood Fest on August 25 (Sunday) at Marana Auditorium in Sydney, the biggest gathering of Bangladeshi women in Australia.

Two photo booths were arranged in the well-furnished auditorium, greatly attracting the audience. Kanita Ahimed and Pradhya Iqbal created photobooths.

The title sponsor of this event was Afrin Alam, the owner of Jazz Foods, who helped organize it. The support from the management team and all the sponsors was unparalleled. The guests were appreciative of the event’s external aesthetics and well-being.

The program was hosted by Mehruba Zebin and Nudrat Lohani, who presented the program very well.

At the beginning of the program, a special tribute to the students killed in last July’s movement was seen, which left everyone in attendance emotional. Then the arriving guests all gathered together and sang the patriotic song, You will not find such a country anywhere.

Apart from this, the event is organized with various cultural performances, where the audience has a good time with mesmerizing dance and music.

The Sisterhood Fest Sydney, this event is not just a cultural festival or get-together, this festival creates a strong sense of community among women, which plays a vital role in their mental health.

The organizer, Jannat Ferdous, the founder of Aussie Bangla Sisterhood, said that this platform is a unique sign of the unity of Bangladeshi women in Australia. We women are by each other’s side in happiness, grief, protest, or any danger and we are all together this is the achievement of our platform.
