Ashley Graham’s optical illusion naked dress

The model took to Instagram to share snaps of herself wearing a super realistic optical illusion naked dress. When we say we had to double-take.

The design in question consisted of a tank top silhouette in a rich burgundy hue featuring a yellow graphic print of a woman’s nude torso overlaid directly in line with Ashley’s own body. Yep, rather than flashing the flesh through cut-outs or sheer fabric, the design cleverly gives the illusion of the wearer’s nudity through strategically printed illustrations on the fabric.

No surprise, the dress was a Jean Paul Gaultier number. The designer has become well-associated with optical illusion naked dresses after celebs including Paris Jackson, Sabrina Elba and Vick Hope have all donned JPG dresses that feature similar prints.

Ashley, too, is a long-time fan as it turns out her latest ensemble is the third (!!) look by the designer she has worn within a week. Could be she’s found her fashion formula. For an event in New York, she opted for a similar graphic print tank dress, though this vintage design featured cherubs and nature scenes on a monochrome color palette.
