The army has claimed to take over the headquarters of the national radio and television of the North African country of Sudan. This demand was made in a statement of the country’s army on Tuesday.
It said members of the military had taken control of the national radio and television headquarters. They took control of radio and TV stations after removing members of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The country’s two state-owned broadcasters are headquartered in Omdurman. The city is located along the Nile River from the capital Khartoum. However, there was no immediate comment from RSF on the army’s claim.
