Following the phenomenal success of Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun has kicked off work on his next major film, this time teaming up with blockbuster director Atlee. The highly anticipated project, known for its extensive use of visual effects, began shooting its first schedule in Mumbai on the 12th of this month.
This initial phase will last three months, making it the longest outdoor shoot in Allu Arjun’s career. The schedule is vital for filming key action sequences, which are being shot on a specially constructed, massive set.
According to reports, director Atlee instructed his production design team to create a set capable of handling all major scenes. Built using blue matte technology and equipped with cutting-edge cameras, the set is designed to support extensive AI-enhanced post-production work.
This film marks the 22nd project in Allu Arjun’s career and the sixth collaboration with Atlee, who has delivered several hits including Jawan. It is being produced by a prominent Tamil production house known for backing high-budget projects.
In a unique twist, Allu Arjun will portray three different roles in the film, which is said to explore a parallel universe. One of these characters is reportedly an animated figure, adding a new dimension to his roles.
Earlier reports estimated the film’s budget at around ₹800 crore. Of this, ₹250 crore is allocated for overall production, with ₹200 crore dedicated specifically to shooting. Notably, Sun Pictures is investing ₹250 crore solely for VFX work, which is being handled by top Hollywood studios.
Director Atlee is reportedly earning ₹100 crore for his sixth film, while Allu Arjun’s remuneration is said to be ₹175 crore plus a 15 percent share of the profits. The filmmakers are planning a pan-Indian release to attract a global audience.
