An exciting development is that Bangladesh has begun the process of exporting mangoes to China, driven by the interest of the Chinese government. The first shipment is scheduled to arrive there on May 28. On Wednesday, May 21, during a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in Bailey Road, the Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Muhammad Emdadul Haque, shared these details.
He revealed that this season, approximately 50 tons of mangoes will be exported to China. Plans are already underway to increase this volume gradually. Not only mangoes, but the government is also working towards exporting other fruits like jackfruit and more, he added.
