Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow has unveiled the latest edition of her beloved “Boyfriend Breakfast” series, a tradition she has kept alive for years. The Marty Supreme actress posted a new cooking clip in which she prepares a gluten‑free broccoli, onion, and sausage quiche, all set to Depeche Mode’s Just Can’t Get Enough, People magazine reported.
A cozy, casual kitchen moment
Barefaced and dressed in a simple T‑shirt and flowy pants her signature look for these informal kitchen videos Paltrow whisked eggs with almond milk, sautéed broccoli, and even paused to greet her dog, Gaucho.
She then sliced two whole onions on a mandoline, tearing up in the process, before caramelizing them. In another pan, she cooked sausage crumbles. All the ingredients were layered into a premade gluten‑free pie crust and baked.
Her caption read:
“Valentine’s #boyfriendbreakfast, gluten‑free broccoli, onion, and sausage quiche. Extra love.”
A tradition rooted in love
Paltrow has previously explained that the series began when she was dating her now‑husband, Brad Falchuk.
“We started this tradition of me cooking him breakfast every Saturday morning,” she told Vogue. “I would come up with all these creative breakfasts… I called them boyfriend breakfasts.”
She admitted she once questioned whether the gesture felt “old‑fashioned,” wondering if a feminist could still enjoy domestic rituals. Ultimately, she embraced it:
“It feeds me to take care of people and cook, as much as I hope it takes care of them.”
