Nearly ten years after her harrowing Paris robbery, Kim Kardashian returned to the city to testify against the ten people accused of the crime. In a recent episode of The Kardashians, the 45-year-old reality star opened up about the emotional toll of lingering skepticism, including accusations from her ex-husband Kanye West, and reflected on the lasting trauma of the night she was tied up and robbed of more than $10 million in jewellery.
In the December 4 episode, Kardashian spoke candidly about the pain of being accused of staging the robbery for television. “My ex-husband had said, ‘And you faked your robbery for a TV show,’ and had said that in front of all these people,” she recalled, her voice breaking. “That was a knife to my heart.” She added, “Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you, that’s so close to you, that should know you, that should know how much that affected your life, it just really bothered me. You don’t know who I am.”
West, 48, who was married to Kardashian at the time and divorced her in 2021, reportedly cancelled a New York City concert mid-show citing a “family emergency” when he learned of the attack, rushing to her side upon her return to the United States.
Reflecting on the trial, Kardashian described a sense of vindication. The robbery, which saw her held at gunpoint and bound, has long been clouded by doubt in some circles. Her testimony marks a pivotal moment in a case that continues to resonate nearly a decade later.
