Amid circulating social media rumors regarding the death toll in the Uttara plane crash, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has clarified that it has no intention of hiding any information about the children involved.
Lt. Colonel Sami Ud Dowla Chowdhury, director of the ISPR, stated on Wednesday that widespread rumors about the number of casualties in the Milestone School and College plane crash are false and that the public should not believe everything circulated online. He emphasized that any media organization is welcome to investigate the incident.
Following the accident, the Bangladesh Army responded swiftly and efficiently, without prior announcement, as is customary. Lt. Col. Chowdhury assured that the ISPR was present at the scene along with a team, and there was no attempt to conceal any details.
He reaffirmed that the ISPR is fully transparent and open to any media or organization conducting independent investigations. “We are prepared to support and assist with any needs in this regard,” he added in the statement.
