In front of the British Parliament, expatriate Bengalis performed the national anthem of Bangladesh in a united voice. It was preceded by a peaceful protest rally.
On Monday (September 9), hundreds of expatriate Bengalis joined demonstrations and protest rallies in front of the British Parliament. United Kingdom Awami League President Sultan Mahmud Sharif presided over the demonstration and protest rally.
In the meeting led by Syed Sajidur Rahman Farooq, the general secretary of the organisation, the speakers called for an immediate end to killings, arson, looting, mob justice, lawlessness, torture, and mass cases in the country. They demanded the resignation of the interim government.
At the end of the meeting, the expatriate Bengalis sang the national anthem of Bangladesh in front of the British Parliament.
