Dhaka University students who live abroad are also excited about their excellence like in Bangladesh, but it does not come without cost, they create unity, harmony and show their inner strength. These efforts are reflected in the fair gathering of a recently held event called ‘Phalgune Amara’, with the color yellow, a joyous occasion marking the festivity.

On the weekend of February 18th (Sunday) , everyone put their pre-planning into practice. Sydney’s Mount Annan Botanical Garden has become a paradise of yellow color. A collective initiative of former students of Dhaka University was seen. It is the arrival of spring, the event is celebrated under the name “Phalgune Amra”.

Beloved University, the graduates still feel the excitement left behind, they want to get back to those earlier days for a moment, and with that expectation the event was organized. In addition to yellow, the gathering of former students in green and purple colors enlivened the atmosphere, giving off a familiar festive mood.

Various types of pitha, sweet, piyaju, dal puri, singara, chatapti, jhalmuri were present in this festival. Everyone felt the joy of breaking barriers to the tune of country songs. Hand fans, various clay ornaments, and small banners had the message of Fagun.

At the same time, poetry, friends’ chats and pranks take them back to those sweet times. The time runs out, but don’t cut the thread, this is the bond that is good even in exile!
