39 Palestinians were released from Israeli prisons in exchange for 13 Israeli captives freed by Hamas.
Israel released 39 Palestinian prisoners in line with a Qatar-brokered agreement in which Hamas released 13 Israeli prisoners hours earlier.
Kadura Fares, head of the NGO Palestine Prisoners of War Club, said that 33 prisoners released in the West Bank had been handed over to a team from the International Committee of the Red Cross. He said the remaining six were released in Jerusalem.
The releases by both sides were part of a four-day ceasefire agreement in the Israel-Hamas war that began on Friday.
Over the next four days, 150 Palestinian and 50 Israeli prisoners are scheduled to be released. Mara Baker, who was arrested in 2015 at the age of 16, was among those released in Jerusalem.
