Dhaka: The government has promoted 39 unarmed police inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), strengthening the leadership ranks of the Bangladesh Police.
The Home Ministry issued a notification on Monday, signed by Deputy Secretary Tawsif Ahmed, confirming the promotions.
According to the order, the newly promoted ASPs have been instructed to submit their joining letters to the senior secretary of the ministry through the proper administrative channels before taking up their new responsibilities.
